Today's letters: everyone gets the exact same 3 consonants plus 1 auto-selected vowel today. Same letters, same order — the only thing that changes is what you build from them.

Your clock starts the moment you begin — you have 3 minutes to build as many words as you can.

Each letter can only be used once per word — tap it, and it locks until you clear or submit that word, then it's free again for your next one.

Check the tag at the top of the bill. It always says "Official Game" or "Practice Game," so it's easy to tell which one you're in even at a glance.

Buy more, or play it safe: you get $10 in Vowel Bucks (fake, in-game money only — never real currency) to spend on up to 3 more vowels. Skip any of them and get a free consonant instead — either way you land on 7 letters total.

Exactly what each vowel costs — priced by what they're actually worth (we measured, across the whole dictionary):

• E — $5.75 and A — $4.75: the blue-chips. Note the math: you can afford one of them, never both.
• O — $2.50, I — $2.00, U — $1.50: budget vowels. Sometimes the free consonant is the better deal — that's the game.

This pricing is officially known as the Tater Rule — adopted September 2026, after one player broke the all-time record four times in three weeks and the vowel market had to answer for it.

Scoring: word length pays off fast — 3 letters: 10 pts, 4 letters: 25 pts, 5 letters: 50 pts, 6 letters: 90 pts, 7 letters: 150 pts (the max, using every tile).

Skip a vowel, keep the cash — it still counts for something. Any Vowel Bucks you don't spend get converted to bonus points at the end of the round: $3 left over = 5 pts, $4 = 13 pts, $5 or more = 25 pts (the cap — saving beyond $5 doesn't earn extra). It's a real fallback if the letters aren't cooperating, but it's always worth less than finding even one more short word — so treat it as a safety net, not a strategy.

Under $3 leftover? It goes in your savings bank. 🏦 Small change earns no bonus points, but in official games it's deposited into your lifetime savings — a running total that never resets. Check the Top Savers tab on the leaderboard to see who's stacked the most. (Savings are bragging rights only — they can never be spent on vowels.)

You get one official attempt per day. Practice rounds don't touch the leaderboard, so play as many as you want without spending your one shot.
